- EA Sports has decided to shake things up as they’re gearing up to launch their latest installment of their video game franchise Madden NFL. They excited a lot of fans when they gave us the power to vote on the cover-boy, but now they have taken it a step further and have given us the power to decide which player receives the highest attribute rating for each specific category. These are the early categories:
Fastest QB in Madden NFL 13
Probably the closest race of them all right now, sees Washington Redskins rookie QB Robert Griffin III edging out NFC East rival Michael Vick by about 3,000 votes. Terrell Pryor is lagging tremendously behind the two, as he rounds out the candidates for every Madden fans favorite attribute.
Prediction: Robert Griffin III
Strongest Arm (Throw Power rating) in Madden NFL 13
The three candidates for this portion of the voting has Matthew Stafford, Jay Cutler, and Josh Freeman all as formidable options to have Madden’s strongest arm. However, Matthew Stafford is blowing away 2nd place Jay Cutler by owning about 5x the votes. There is no surprise here that Josh Freeman is sitting in last, as Madden fans are skeptical of the young signal caller because of his sophomore campaign.
Prediction: Matthew Stafford
Deep Ball Rating Accuracy in Madden NFL 13
The majority of Madden users are always looking for flashy attributes such as speed and throw power, meanwhile, deep ball accuracy has really positioned itself as the Tim Duncan of Madden ratings. Having a QB who can consistently throw an accurate deep ball can really change the dynamic of your offense. For this category, Aaron Rodgers, Eli Manning, and Tony Romo are battling it out for the honor. However, as we are beginning to notice, there isn’t much of a fight when Aaron Rodgers is in he mix for anything. He has left Super Bowl MVP Eli Manning and Tony Romo in the dust as he turns on his cruise control to winning the highest deep ball attribute. This is just one of the many reasons why the Green Bay Packers will be the most popular team in the early going in Madden 13.
Prediction: Aaron Rodgers
Overall, the fan voting has been another unique method demonstrated by EA Sports to give us fans more influence in the game we love (and hate). Check back in to Madden Daily as we will keep you up to date with all the voting for the player attributes!
